From the age of eleven through to her late twenties, Julie was trained in dressage by Pammy Hutton FBHS
Pammy Hutton is the well known owner of the Talland School of Equitation. She has ridden with great success in top level eventing and pure dressage.
From the age of twenty one and during Young Riders, Roland Ferneyhough trained Julie with her showjumping. Julie had one lesson per week over a three year period.
From the age of twenty four, Julie was trained by Rodney Powell for dressage and jumping.
Julie has trained with Rodney Powell in all three disciplines of eventing. Rodney Powell has ridden for the Senior British Three Day Event Team on many occasions.
Julie is now trained by Tracy Robinson, the British Three Day Event Dressage Trainer.
Julie is also trained by Yogi Breisner for dressage and jumping. Yogi Breisner is the British Team Performance Manager.
